Information Security Awareness Training for Dayton Area Businesses
Information Security training is always a top priority for every single business in the Dayton area and is the backbone of any information security program. Creating a strong information system with a secure network is essential, but the information security program is only as good as the staff. LMS believes that there are three keys to a successful training program:
- Courses must be considerate of time. Everyone is busy and we all have projects with deadlines. The last thing anyone wants to do is spend 1-2 hours completing training that doesn’t directly help their job or those deadlines.
- Training must be engaging. We’ve all sat through courses that were too long and too boring to handle. Those types of environments are never conducive for learning.
- Frequency matters. Experience has shown that short, monthly lessons have a higher success rate than long, annual lessons. Staff will have a higher retention rate and they will be more mentally aware of potential attacks.
LMS has designed a training platform to accomplish these goals. Every month, new and current lessons are created to train staff on topics like phishing, insider threats, physical security, and password security. These lessons contain short and engaging videos, knowledge checks, and phishing simulation training.
